Construction of underground car parks monitored by the City of Katowice, the Mayor of Katowice and Grontmij Polska Sp. z o.o. is a part of the project named: “Reconstruction of the city centre of Katowice”. In course of the undertaken negotiations a private partner or several partners for the City of Katowice are to be appointed, who will design, construct, operate and maintain the car parks. The City of Katowice represented by the Mayor and the Head of the Investments Department is subject to continuous transformation, developing new solutions, giving the city a higher rank in the international arena and improving the standards of living and working. The changes implemented in the area of the city allow for rebuilding of the most attractive areas, upgrading of the transportation system as well as the service-commercial infrastructure, simultaneously complying with requirements of the inhabitants, visitors and the European Union Institutions.
